Mitigating financial & compliance risks: I conducted a comprehensive risk assessment for a proposed payment platform, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring a scalable, compliant framework for future implementation.
My Role
I conducted a comprehensive risk analysis to assess potential vulnerabilities in the rollout of a proposed payments addition to the product platform, with the goal of ensuring minimal disruption to client or talent payments and billing, regulatory compliance and financial security.
Collaborating with product managers and other stakeholders, I developed clear mitigation strategies to address identified risks. I also provided leadership with strategic recommendations that informed critical decision-making, shaping the future direction of the platform's implementation.

Challenges & Reflection
Taking on a project with such significant external impact in a heavily regulated environment was both a challenge and an opportunity. Navigating the complexities of fintech compliance and risk management required careful attention to detail, strong stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision-making.
Additionally, stepping into a project where a passionate product manager initially viewed my involvement with skepticism added an interpersonal dynamic that I had to carefully manage. Through transparency, collaboration, and a focus on shared goals, I was able to develop a productive working relationship, ultimately strengthening the overall success of the project.
